For most of us, we all want to eat clean and healthy so we can provide our bodies with the proper nutrients it requires as opposed to stuffing on junk food that make us ill and probably costs a lot more. The dilemma, however, is that some of us haven’t got a spare hour to spend slaving over a hot stove. The most we want to spend in the kitchen is 30 minutes and we’re out. This is why I’ll be forever grateful to the inventor of the crockpot, it’s a life saver really.
With the crockpot, I don’t need to spend more than the amount of time it takes me to prep my ingredients in the kitchen and usually, that takes 20 minutes tops. With my slow cooker, I can just throw all my ingredients in, put it on low or medium heat (depending on what the recipe calls for), drop my kids at soccer practice, go grocery shopping, run a few more errands and come back to a fully cooked meal. It doesn’t get any convenient than that.
