Chicken & Eggplant with Pomegranate

When we were in Argentina it was August and winter- a totally unusual combination for us. So, when we got to Europe we did our best to prolong our summer by hanging out in Greece and Malta for most of October. Now, however, we are ready to embrace fall in all its glory at the foot of the Pirins in Bansko, Bulgaria. We found the fruit and vegetable market and have stocked up on all things fall- persimmons, apples, pears, butternut squash and pomegranates. Oh, how I do love […] Continue Reading

Tomato Feta Borek

Taking cooking classes in Istanbul and Santorini was so much fun and we made a lot of really tasty dishes. Unfortunately, two of my favorite dishes were deep-fried. With Selin at Turkish Flavours we made these incredibly delicious borek stuffed with feta and spices. They were only a few ingredients which made them super easy and the flavors were incredible. Santorini Cooking Class & Santorinian Salad

The cooking class that we attended in Santorini, Greece was a little different from the class in Istanbul- obviously, there is no Spice Market to tour here in Santorini, instead there are vineyards. Cooking Class in Istanbul & Carrot Salad!

Food and culture truly go hand in hand, I firmly believe that. I also love to try new foods and learn more about cooking techniques, so I was super excited when my mom came to visit and declared that she had found a cooking class for us to attend while she was in Istanbul. And one for us to attend while we were in Greece. I was like a kid at Christmas- two cooking classes in one week?! I knew it was going to be amazing […] Continue Reading

Slovak Inspired Tangy Gnocchi

We have been so busy in Malta, hiking, snorkeling and swimming. It is so beautiful here and there is so much to explore, so we have been trying to cook fast, easy meals that we prep the night before or can put together in a hurry. However, I am also torn because Malta is the first place we have had a kitchen in a long time. We have had so many amazing dishes that I want to experiment with re-creating and Malta is my big chance. So, we are trying to find things that don’t take too long or that […] Continue Reading
