My Delicious Day in Oslo, Norway

We only stayed in Oslo one night, which was enough. Not because it wasn’t awesome (it was) but because it was so expensive. We are on a pretty restrictive budget and it was just too expensive for us. The city was beautiful, clean and festive. Christmas lights and trees were everywhere and everything was dusted with a fresh layer of fluffy snow. It was breathtaking. We wandered the streets just enjoying the scenery and looking for a bite to eat. My Delicious 3 days in Berlin

Berlin had an amazing amount of food choices- it is such an international city! And we were lucky enough to be there during the Christmas Markets. There was so much good stuff to choose from. We tried to stick to sensible breakfasts: fruit, hard boiled eggs, toast and the tomatoes and cucumbers that the breakfast buffet in our hotel featured. Pumpkin Banitsa

Banitsa is a Bulgarian dish that has many different variations. It can be filled with white cheese (sirene) and eggs or spinach. Sometimes meat, apples or pumpkin fill its flaky crust. It is served hot or cold for either a breakfast or snack, or it can be filled with fruit and served as a dessert. This variation is a delicious pumpkin variety that works as a dessert (and viable alternative to pumpkin pie, if you are spending Thanksgiving in Bulgaria).
