We are between 6-9 hours ahead of the US here in Budapest. Mostly, this is not a problem, when we need to talk to our families we can work around it. Chestnut Caramel Brownies

There is nothing healthy about this brownie. There, that is my disclaimer. Its crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It is everything a brownie should be- moist, chocolatey and dense. But, it is not healthy. Sometimes only the gooiest, fudgiest brownie will do, especially as we get into the holidays. I am not advocating eating carte blanche during the holidays, but I do believe in the occasional indulgence. The struggle to try new, unique and regional specific dishes and eat a healthy, balanced diet continues. When we only have a few days in a country we want to try everything that they have to offer. Unfortunately, when we get to expensive countries like Norway and Finland, we seem to resort to the cheapest food we can find, which is usually pizza. Helsinki is no exception.
