The Secret to No Soak Beans + Dutch Oven Chili!
- 1 Onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 Bell Pepper, chopped (or use a roasted pepper- yum!)
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 LB Ground Turkey
- 1 cup Dried Beans (I used kidney)
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 TBSP Chili Powder
- 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
- 3 cups Broth
- 14 oz can Diced Tomatoes + 1 can of Water
- 2 TBSP tomato Paste
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Combine chopped onion, bell pepper, garlic, ground turkey, dried beans, bay leaves, chili powder, garlic powder and broth in a Dutch oven.
- Cover the Dutch oven and place in the preheated oven.
- Stir after 30 minutes and check the water level. Repeat at 60 minutes.
- After 90 minutes, add the tomatoes, a can of water and the tomato paste. Stir.
- Leave uncovered and put back in the oven for another 30 minutes.
- Serve with all your favorite chili toppings!!
