To get rid of damp, or fishy odors, place 2 caps of vanilla extract in an oven-safe dish or mug and heat for 1 hour  at 300F… in about 20 minutes the “ewww” will be replaced with “ahhh” as the sweet aroma of vanilla begins to spread throughout the house. Pro tip: don’t feel limited by vanilla- other essential oils, like lavender, lemon or rosemary, also work wonders.
