To get this Cinco de Mayo party started, we need drinks! And, since it’s Cinco de Mayo we’re not gonna make due with any ol’ thing that come in a can. Oh no, today I’m talking real, authentic Mexican cocktails. The kind that make you sit up and say “ole!”
The challenge for me is that I’m not much of a drink kinda girl, I make a mean smoothie but that’s just about it. I had to go in search of cocktail recipes that were not only easy to make but would make me look like I spend 10 years behind the bar.

This beer-based cocktail is one of those drinks you will want to have beside you during the hot summer days. It’s the right balance of sweet, salty and tangy with a little funk thrown in for good measure.
